Teach with Moodle

ASIS manages school course membership; Moodle holds the learning activities and learner submissions.

Before teaching

Ask your school administrator to publish the course offering for the correct academic period, assign you as a teacher, link your ASIS account and enable your LMS access. Then open My Learning → Open in Moodle.

Add learning activities

  1. Open your course and enable Edit mode if your role permits it.
  2. Find the section where the activity belongs.
  3. Select Add an activity or resource.
  4. Choose the activity type, enter a clear name and instructions, and configure its dates and completion requirements.
  5. Save, then preview the activity and check its visibility.

Use a mix of pages/files for instruction, assignments for submitted work, quizzes for checks, and forums or choices for discussion and polls. Avoid hiding the whole section when you intend to hide only one activity.

Review student work

Open the assignment or quiz and use its grading/results views. Check the activity’s grade and feedback release settings before expecting learners to see results. Course grades and ASIS academic reports are separate workflows unless your school has explicitly configured an integration.

For new terms, the school can copy course content through a new learning offering. That does not copy learners or their submitted work.
