Complete activities and view deadlines

Inside Moodle, your teacher organises the course into sections and activities. Open the course from My Learning before starting work.

  1. Read the course introduction and the instructions for each activity.
  2. Open the activity, check any due date, time limit or attempt limit, and complete the required work.
  3. For an assignment, check whether you must select a final Submit action after uploading. A draft upload may not count as submitted.
  4. For a quiz, review your answers and finish the attempt using the quiz’s submission controls.
  5. Return to the activity to confirm its submitted or completed status. Results and feedback appear when your teacher releases them.

Activity types

  • Assignment: upload work or enter text as requested.
  • Quiz: answer questions; attempt and review rules are set by your teacher.
  • Forum: read and contribute to the class discussion.
  • Choice or feedback: answer a poll or survey.
  • Page, book or file: read the supplied learning material.
  • BigBlueButton: join a live class at the scheduled time.

Calendar and deadlines

Activities with configured Moodle due dates or open/close dates can create calendar events for users who can access them. Not every date field creates an event. Check the activity itself for the definitive instructions and verify your profile time zone if a time seems wrong.

If you lose connection during an assessment, reopen it and check the saved state before starting another attempt. Contact your teacher if the deadline or attempt limit blocks you.
